The Twelve Year Pour

A closer look at why the Meridian 42 twelve year keeps its texture where most malts thin out.

Chill filtration removes the fatty acids that make a whisky feel round in the mouth. Meridian 42 skips it, which is why the twelve year still coats the glass at 46%. The oloroso finish is deliberately short, adding dried fruit without turning the whole thing into a sherry bomb.

Case Season: Amber Lager by the Crate

Case quantities of Cinder & Oak Amber Lager reach the lowest unit price of the year at 72 bottles.

Amber lager is the easiest case to move: familiar enough for walk-in customers, distinctive enough that people come back for it. At crate quantity the unit price drops sharply, which is where the margin lives for retailers. Order in multiples of 24 to keep packing intact.
